Ogury, a global ad tech company, partnered with Microsoft Advertising to make its inventory more competitive and appealing to buyers—without custom code or developer resources. By separating video from display formats and activating Native Assembly within Microsoft Monetize, Ogury delivered a clearer, more consistent buying experience. These upgrades paid off fast: a 5X increase in advertiser spend, a 21% lift in display spend, and a 250% surge during peak season. The approach blended creative quality with programmatic scale, future-proofing Ogury’s monetization strategy.

Ogury is a global ad tech company that helps publishers monetize their inventories and enables advertisers to reach high-quality audiences at scale. In partnership with Microsoft Advertising, Ogury identified an opportunity to increase demand by improving how inventory was made available, structured, and displayed within Microsoft Monetize.

The objective was to make placements more competitive and appealing to buyers without requiring custom code or developer resources.

Ogury partnered with Microsoft Advertising to implement specific improvements allowing buyers to better understand placements and bid with confidence...

  • Format separation that gives buyers clarity: Ogury separated Online Video from Display and Native formats, moving away from a single multi-format auction. This gave DSPs access to more accurate bidding and measurement.
  • Flexible rendering, activated through Microsoft Monetize: Ogury leveraged Native Assembly for selected placements, with the full rollout managed directly within the Monetize platform, no custom code required. Renderer templates helped ensure a consistent buyer experience while supporting high demand volumes.
  • A foundation for future adaptability: Encouraged by strong early results, Ogury decided to fully deploy Native Assembly’s adaptive rendering to improve efficiency and performance further.

These enhancements made Ogury’s inventory faster to render, easier for buyers to assess, and ultimately higher performing.

"Speed to market often comes at the expense of customization. Native Assembly eliminated that trade-off for us. We enabled sophisticated, adaptive rendering at scale, effectively future-proofing our native inventory. This is how modern monetization should look."

— Amaury Marchand, Senior Product Manager, Ogury

Ogury's updates quickly paid off, with a 5X increase in advertiser spend on improved placements within one month.

The updated inventory attracted stronger bidding and boosted revenue, including a 21% increase in Display spend. This confirmed that the improvements helped Ogury expand overall monetization opportunities instead of redirecting spend from one placement to the other.

The newly activated native inventory also contributed to peak performance during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday season, with advertiser spend growing by 250% between October and November.

This success validated Ogury’s approach and established a strong foundation for continued testing and improvement.

"Collaborating with Microsoft on Native Assembly allowed us to push the boundaries of what automated rendering can do. We successfully bridged the gap between high-end custom creativity and programmatic scale. The results have been nothing short of exceptional."

— Safaa Norredine, Partner Director, Ogury

With a clearer view of placements and fewer technical barriers to bidding, Ogury was able to unlock monetization in fresh ways. Here’s how other organizations can accomplish similar results...

  • Blend creative quality with scalable delivery: Renderer templates support consistent, high-quality presentation while keeping the door open to more demand partners.
  • Separate mixed-format units: Video and banner formats perform best when auctioned independently, giving DSPs stronger decisioning signals.
  • Keep asset requirements flexible: Limit mandatory fields to image and title to encourage broader participation from buyers.

  • Microsoft Monetize
  • Native Assembly
  • Adaptive rendering
  • Support for Display and Video ads
